Glassjaw at HMV Forum
6th April 2011
It’s dancing time!
I heard via Twitter earlier in the afternoon of Wednesday 30th April 2011 that Napalm Death would be supporting Glassjaw, and though ‘An odd choice’. Having never seen Napalm Death in all my years as a ‘Metal’ fan, I was looking forward to it. Thinking I had plenty of time, I caught the tube and wandered over to the HMV forum, only to discover I had missed the whole set. Oh well.

My slight disappointment at my own time keeping was quickly washed away as Glassjaw took the stage. A great set list mixing a nice blend of tracks from both ‘Everything you ever wanted to know about silence’ & ‘Worship & Tribute’, as well as a few tracks from previous E.P’s. This was topped off by a complete run through of their latest release, coloring book.
The E.P itself is great, it feels like a new direction for the band, which is welcomed with open arms. The live performance was energetic, precise and lapped up up by the crowd. Glassjaw are back, progressing, and it’s about time.
For those who couldn’t get a ticket, heres a sample of what you missed.
